Investing in Our Teachers, Investing in Our Children

At Little Lambs, we believe that when our teachers grow, our children thrive. That’s why we are so proud to share that our dedicated team of teachers are currently attending the Early Childhood Care and Education training course run by Funda Kunye.

This course is designed to strengthen the professional skills of Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers, equipping them with new tools and fresh confidence to support children in their most crucial early years.

Why this training matters

Our principal put it best:

“It is a pleasure and significant for Little Lambs teachers to attend training like these, because it enhances their professionalism and skills, leading to better child development outcomes, improved personal growth, and job opportunities. Since Early Childhood Development teachers with vast knowledge and confidence support children’s crucial early years, it ultimately contributes to school readiness and long-term academic success. Training provides solid strategies for effective classroom management and child interaction. Little Lambs will always ensure that staff are equipped, upskilled, and empowered. They are receiving proper training to support children’s unique needs.”

The impact on children’s futures

When our teachers are empowered, children benefit directly. Training like this not only enriches our classrooms with stronger strategies for learning and interaction, but also builds the foundation for school readiness. From learning how to manage a busy classroom with creativity, to developing new ways of nurturing social and emotional growth—our teachers are gaining valuable skills that will ripple out into the lives of the children we serve.

A commitment to growth

At Little Lambs, we see teacher development as central to our mission. It’s not just about providing care for children, but about offering the highest quality education possible during these formative years. By investing in ongoing training, we invest in brighter futures.

We are so proud of our teachers for taking this step in their professional journeys—and we can’t wait to see the joy, confidence, and growth they’ll bring back into the classroom.
